Moccasin; Def: Footwear resembling such a slipper.
Whenever I think of moccasins I think of the trustworthy slippers my Grandma would get every year for Christmas, they were sheepskin and she’d wear them all year round. However these aren’t the type of moccasins I’m referring to in the shops today (luckily).
The moccasins hitting the shops are made of leather, suede, are heeled, flat, have tassels and chains, with no sheepskin in sight! They fit nicely with the 1940’s trend which will be a big hit for AW11 (I’ll talk about that next week!). They look great with coloured tights and shorts.
